Tramore Attractions

The Doneraile Cliff Walk
The entrance to this breathtaking scenic walk is just 2 minutes up the hill and to the left.

Tramore Blue Flag Beach
Just steps away you will find yourself on one of the most popular and well known beaches in the South East. Did you know that Tramore (Trá Mór in Irish) translates to “Large Beach”?

Surfing
There are a host of surf schools nearby along the Promenade in Tramore, including T Bay Surf School. Necessary equipment is provided but advance booking is required.

Lafcadio Hearn Japanese Gardens
Take some time out and relax in the tranquil and beautiful Japanese Gardens, just minutes’ walk.

Tramore Amusement Park
Open seasonally from around May to September, the amusement park has a wide variety of attractions suitable for all the family.
Copper Coast Geo Park
Enjoy a scenic drive along the UNESCO coastline with inspiring coastal views. Experience the visitor centre and geological park located in Bunmahon village, about 25 minutes drive away.

Waterford Greenway

Opened quite recently in 2017, the magnificent 46km route has become a hugely popular activity in Ireland's Ancient East. The impressive route takes in tunnels, historic viaducts and seaside views. There are a number of bike rental companies in Waterford City, our reception team are happy to assist.

Splashworld
The South East’s biggest indoor swimming water park has wave machines, slides and more to ensure hours of fun! There’s also an onsite gym.

Waterford & Suir Valley Railway
Board the vintage train at Kilmeaden Station and set off through the countryside along the banks of the River Suir, passing the beautiful Mount Congreve Gardens. Located about 15 minutes drive away.

Copper Coast Mini Farm
This fun and educational family farm allows families to see farm animals up close. Located about a 15 minute drive.

Pirates Adventure
This multipurpose adventure centre offers a pirate themed indoor activity area for kids, bowling and mini golf. Also about 5 minute drive.
Waterford Crystal
The world famous glass factory and tourist attraction is always popular with our guests. Visitors can watch craftsmen at work, visit the large store showcasing a range of pieces and learn about the history of one of Waterford’s most famous exports.

Waterford Treasures
The Waterford Treasures consists of three museums located in the historic Viking Triangle area of Waterford City Centre. Together they tell the story of Waterford, Ireland's Oldest City and founded by Vikings in the 9th Century. The Medieval Museum features an impressive collection of medieval artefacts, however the enchanting 13th Century Choristers Hall is likely to be the highlight for many. The Bishops Palace recreates life in a 18th Century townhouse, and has recently added a new state of the art 3D experience which brings to life the fascinating story of glass making in Waterford. Finally, Reginald’s Tower is Ireland's oldest civic building with hundreds of years of history within its walls.
